Last night was probably the worst night yet. Nathan was pretty much inconsolable from midnight to 4am. He seemed hungry but would only eat in spurts. Steve tried his best to take care of Nathan since my stomach wasn't feeling so well but by 4am, the constant crying has worn him out so I took over. From 4am onwards it wasn't constant crying thankfully, but it was waking up every hour. Perhaps Nathan is growing through a growth spurt?
I was so tired by the time we were supposed to wake up for church. Normally it would be okay to sleep in and skip this one week since we had a rough night except they were hosting a welcome reception for Nathan! So off to church we went. All those years of little sleep is coming in handy for these kind of days. This crazy mommy even went out for lunch with friends and a walk in a park with G&K afterwards. :P It was such a beautiful day! Sleep can be had when it's cold and wet. :) Or maybe in a few minutes from now....
There was one bright note in the midst of the drama last night. We put Nathan on his stomach since it helps calm him sometimes and also so that he could use all that energy he had for tummy time. He was so agitated that he managed to roll himself from his stomach onto his back! Definitely not a learned skill yet by any means but it was the one interesting moment in a night full of crying.
I am hoping it's a one off thing only and not something he will get into the habit of doing!
