Nathan is still feeding every 2.5-3 hours for most of the day and having his "werewolf period" of fussiness from 9-1am. Well, since daylight savings time, it seems it's only to 12ish now. :) It takes him a long time to settle during this period but aside from that, he's pretty calm for the rest of the day. He's definitely a "show baby" and makes everyone thinks that he's an angel by sleeping or being really calm through most of outings.
He passes gas a lot, and they're sometimes quite loud, to the point where I'm surprised such a loud fart can come out of such a little guy!
His bowels must also be working well and quite efficiently I must say since he has what it seems like gazillion poopy diapers per day. I sometimes wonder whether he needs to eat often because he poops so often. This past Saturday, he managed to poop twice in his bath water (I had to change the water of course.) and then subsequently went through another 2 diapers after eating. 7 bowel movements, 4 diapers and 3 baths all in the span of 30 minutes. I would have never thought before having Nathan that I would actually not be too grossed out seeing poo poo come out of a baby. I was more concerned with getting Nathan out of the water to keep him clean.
He still doesn't pay much attention to the toys above his playmat or bouncy chair buy Nathan certainly is fascinated by lights. He is happily entertained, for a short little while only, staring at the lights on the ceiling.
He also started making noises more this week. I have no idea whether he is trying to communicate something or it's just noises but it's really cute! Little Nathan also started smiling during his awake moments this week. Sometimes it's a grin with wide eyes, and sometimes it's a smile with no eyes. He finally cooperated this morning by smiling while I was taking a picture and video taping him!
